How we perceive a stress-provoking event and how we react
to it determines its impact on our health. We may be
motivated and invigorated by the events in our lives, or we
may see some as “stressful” and respond in a manner that
may have a negative effect on our physical, mental, and
social well-being. We must learn to relax and enjoy what
matters!
Summer is already coming to an end and mid September is
knocking on our doors with its beautiful sunny days and cool
refreshing nights. Students are stressed and anxious about
the prospect of seeing their friends, discovering their new
classrooms and meeting their new teachers and classmates for
the coming year. Many will mourn their vacation and start
reorganizing their use of time and facing the labyrinth of
school deadlines ahead of them.
Parents, on the other hand, face an explosive cocktail of
emotions as they reorganize, reschedule and adjust the
family budget while foreseeing trips to the store for school
supplies and new clothing, all the while trying to save
money.
Fortunately, there are many natural solutions to help with
the effects of stress and anxiety on the nervous system and
the rest of the body like:
• Cerebral perturbations, memory and concentration
problems – specific homeopathies have a positive effect on
memory, attention deficit, and concentration.
• Nervous exhaustion – tissue salts like
kalium-phosphoricum can strengthen and support the nervous
system, guarding against nervous exhaustion and as
lassitude, mild depression, nervousness, irritability,
hysteric behaviour, or impaired memory, confusion,
sleeplessness and psychosomatic illnesses.
• Hyperactive/overactive brain activity (for
example, in people that worry a lot, CEOs, students, people
having to keep many deadlines all the time) – gemmotherapy
like Ribes nigrum – helps you reduce nervousness, combats
stress, and balances emotional stress.
Homeopathic remedies, tissue salts, gemmotherapy remedies
– they all can help you reduce your level of anxiety and
stress caused by the start of school, changes in weather, or
any other stressful events in your life.
As always, for best results to an individual approach,
consulting a qualified health care professional is the
safest way. To find out your stress index, take Dr.Anca’s

Many people consider stress to be something that happens to them: an event such as an injury or a promotion. Others think that stress is what happens to our bodies, minds and behaviours in response to an event (e.g. heart pounding, anxiety, or nail biting). While stress does involve events and our response to them, these are not the most important factors. Our thoughts about the situations in which we find ourselves are the critical factor.

When something happens to us, we automatically evaluate the situation mentally.
Everyone sees situations differently and has different coping skills. For this reason, no two people will respond exactly the same way to a given situation.

Additionally, not all situations that are labelled “stressful” are negative. The birth of a child, being promoted or moving to a new home may not be perceived as threatening. However, we may feel that situations are “stressful” because we don’t feel fully prepared to deal with them.

Some situations in life are stress-provoking, but it is our thoughts about situations that determine whether they are a problem to us.

If we always respond in a negative way our health and happiness may suffer. By understanding ourselves and our reactions to stress-provoking situations, we can learn to handle stress more effectively. We hope that this booklet will help you to build better coping skills for managing stress.

Eighty percent of adults are also at risk of suffering from depression in their lifetime. In some case depression can become so severe that a person loses touch with reality and experiences hallucinations. But like other disorders it’s not something you “get over” by your own effort. It needs to be managed and controlled by combing a healthy lifestyle and treatments. http://www.askdoctoranca.com/self-tests/et
